Application Process

Application Process

If you are interested in working for us - and meet our recruitment criteria - we would love to hear from you!

Stage 1 - CV and covering letter

You need to send us your CV, together with a brief covering letter detailing which position you are applying for and outlining your suitability either via email or by mail to Corbiere House, New Quay Road, Poole, Dorset BH15 4AF.

Stage 2 - Telephone interview

We will contact suitable candidates by telephone and conduct a short interview to confirm that you meet our recruitment criteria.

Stage 3 - 1st interview

If you are successful in the telephone interview, you will be invited to spend a day at Dorset Software's headquarters in Poole. In addition to an interview, lasting approximately 30-45 minutes, you will be given a short presentation on the company, a tour of our offices and the chance to talk to recent graduates over lunch. Plenty of time will be allowed for any questions you may have… and you can rest assured there will be no written tests on the day!

Stage 4 - 2nd interview

Candidates applying for a Project Manager position will be expected to attend a second interview. This may occasionally also apply to other positions.

Stage 5 - Offers

Once the interviews have been completed we will contact you again, usually within two weeks. If we are able to make you an offer of employment this will be subject to the provision of satisfactory references and to the achievement of the recruitment criteria. Although we will be delighted if you are able to accept immediately, we realise you may need time to make up your mind!

Stage 6 - Keeping in touch

If you accept our offer we will keep in touch with you over the coming months, sending you copies of the company newsletter and inviting you to company functions. If your degree result is as expected, we will confirm your offer. We will then help you to find accommodation in Poole by sending you local property papers and giving you details of potential flat shares with other recent graduates.
