We’re looking for intelligent, friendly, approachable graduates with excellent communication skills to manage existing projects and develop new business.
For the first three months you will shadow one of our experienced Project Managers and learn about what we do as a business. As you need to understand the products and services that you sell, the next 3-6 months will be spent training and working as a programmer. You will then return to sales and marketing as a Junior Project Manager working either for a client or on internal projects.
Junior Project Managers are involved in the whole software lifecycle: in the initial stages writing proposals, preparing tenders and undertaking consultancy to identify client requirements; working with our technical team to develop a solution and presenting it to the client to secure the contract. During the project being responsible for client liaison and overseeing budgets and timescales, ensuring the solution is delivered to client expectations.
To be successful you need to be confident and able to take a firm yet pleasant approach to negotiations with both clients and suppliers. For the right person, a career as a Project Manager with Dorset Software will be exciting, challenging and highly rewarding.
