If you like attention to detail, have an inquisitive mind, are self-motivated and relish trying to break things a career in software quality assurance is ideal for you.

As a Software Quality Assurance Consultant you will focus on the systems side of the business, testing software for a wide range of clients across a variety of market sectors. From web applications to client/server systems, from Intranets to database applications and from data migration to systems integration, our QA Consultants gain experience testing a wide range of technologies and software solutions.

A career as a QA Consultant is challenging and rewarding. You'll work closely with our Software Developers, understand the solutions and try to break them to ensure all bugs are found and fixed before the solutions are implemented at client sites. You will harness development tools and technologies and play a significant role in creating technical solutions that fulfil client needs and push boundaries. By working with a variety of clients you will be exposed to different approaches, different cultures and will become proficient in solving technical problems of all types and sizes.

The first 4 months will be spent at our headquarters in Poole, where you will complete an initial training programme designed to give you an excellent grounding in the major development tools and technologies.

Emerging from this period as a Junior QA Consultant you will spend the next 3-5 years based at client sites around the country or on in-house projects.

Recruitment Criteria

  • Degree in Maths, Science, Engineering or Computing
  • Have achieved (or expect to achieve) a minimum of 2:1
  • Studied at a top UK university
