Dorset Software, which already has a 100% record of delivering bespoke software development projects on time and to budget, has implemented a new streamlined testing procedure. The new procedure is expected to lead, on average, to a 10% reduction in project time and cost.
Testing, which forms an integral part of the ISO9001 certified software design and development process at Dorset Software, normally accounts for 20-25% of the project time and cost. Utilising the new testing procedure should see these levels fall to 11-17%. With Change Control Notes (CCNs) for existing bespoke software, where testing forms a larger proportion of the project, decreases are expected to be greater.
A dedicated team of testers works relentlessly on finding bugs in bespoke software solutions, passing them back to the development team for resolution, until the software is delivered to the customer bug-free. Dorset Software also offers skilled and experienced on-site testing resources and an in-house testing service to clients.
Jonathan Gerson, Managing Director for Dorset Software comments, "In the competitive software development marketplace, we have an enviable reputation of delivering our bespoke solutions on time and to budget 100% of the time. However, not content to rest on our laurels, we strive continuously to improve our processes to deliver better value to our clients. We believe that our new testing procedure will do just that."
