Aggressive Persons Register improves safety of staff

03 July 2006

As aggressive and anti-social behaviour becomes more widespread so the pressure on organisations to protect its staff and contractors increases. Wandsworth Borough Council has responded to this situation by deploying an Aggressive Persons Register to protect the health and safety of its staff and contractors.

The custom solution, developed by Dorset Software to meet the requirements of Wandsworth Borough Council, enables all seven departments to centrally record incidents and provide an effective system to warn of potentially dangerous situations. The Aggressive Persons Register is a web-based solution which can be accessed by authorised users from any location.

Shervin Nejand, Health and Safety Manager at Wandsworth Borough Council, recognised the need for a centralised system to protect staff, ensure compliance with legislation and improve internal communications. He comments, "The APR enhances safety, increases awareness of safety issues and reduces the number of incidents."
