Dorset Software releases Intelligent Communications

Dorset Software today announced the release of Intelligent Communications; the solution that radically enhances the way that businesses communicate.  The software-based communication system integrates communications and business systems to the extent that all communications are handled within line-of-business applications.  “By embedding communication within corporate systems we deliver huge benefits in terms of efficiency and productivity gains for our customers,” said Jonathan Gerson, Managing Director of Dorset Software.  “The solution creates new ways of working and we expect to help many more customers implement Intelligent Communications and realise the benefits within their businesses.”

 

Using Microsoft’s CRM and OCS 2007 R2 platforms Dorset Software have developed a new method of communication.  The solution focuses on improving efficiency in communications with clients, suppliers and partners by eliminating inherent redundancy and by closing the open loops that are found in disparate legacy communication systems.  A key component of the solution is dynamic-call-routing which ensures that all inbound communications are routed via the most appropriate method to the most appropriate call-handler using information available on the corporate network (e.g. availability, sales region, account manager, support type).  Call-related information is pulled out of corporate systems and presented to the call-handler to enable them to better deal with the call.
