We decided to go green this year and chose to make a donation to the British Heart Foundation, instead of sending our clients Christmas cards.
Sam Story, Dorset Software Production Manager explained; "We are pleased that by focusing on our strengths and deciding to send e-cards, we can both support a crucial charity and make a difference to the environment. This issue is a priority for us and we hope to continue to make an impact."
We donated £450.00 to the Heart of Poole Appeal - a public fundraising initiative by the BHF to raise £38,000 towards the cost of a state of the art Portable Echocardiograph Machine. This vital piece of equipment for Poole Hospital will help to diagnose heart disease in patients of all ages.
The British Heart Foundation raises money for pioneering research, supporting heart patients and their families and providing information and advice to help people care for their own heart health.
Zoe Nicholson, BHF Volunteer Fundraising Manager said: "We are very grateful to Dorset Software Services for supporting us in this way, the donation means we can continue our vital work and make a real difference to the BHF's urgent fight against heart disease - the UK's biggest killer."
