Windows 10 released

29 July 2015

Microsoft has just released Windows 10, the latest upgrade following Windows 8.1 Professional

The selling points of this particular upgrade include a faster, more responsive user interface, greater control of Windows updates, and the ease of no additional hardware requirements.

The improved features should help users navigate their systems more easily, allow them to decide when to initiate updates to avoid disruptions, and upgrade quickly and easily without having to source new hardware.

For PCs running Windows 7 Professional or Windows 8.1 Professional the upgrade will also be free of charge and users who do upgrade to the new version will benefit from long term support from Microsoft.

Dorset Software is planning to roll out Windows 10 company-wide, starting with Surface Pro tablets. If your organisation is looking to upgrade to Windows 10 and needs some advice, please contact us.
